Arlene Hennessey focuses on environmental, health and safety (EHS) enforcement defense and toxic tort litigation. Arlene has been a key team member for several of the firm’s marquee clients in addressing their most sensitive legal and crisis management issues. With a track record that includes oil and gas disputes, mass tort and toxic tort cases, government investigations (civil and criminal), and environmental incident response, she has been an integral part of numerous high-profile cases. Her clients have ranged from Chevron and Fiat Chrysler to Home Depot and German-based Wacker Polysilicon.
Arlene’s law practice is driven by a desire to solve problems. She is adept at crafting key messages, case strategy, and managing the day-to-day aspects of large, complex matters. Arlene is also committed to pro bono work and she has received numerous pro bono service awards at King & Spalding for her work on immigration and other worthwhile causes.
Arlene earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Texas Tech School of Law. There, she represented clients as a Student Attorney in the Civil Law Clinic and was a Staff Writer for both Texas Bank Lawyer and Texas Tech Lawyer Alumni Magazine. Arlene received a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University with a major in art history and a minor in chemistry. Between her undergraduate and law studies, she worked in the Conservation Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
