Bio

Ariana Fuller represents hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers in managed care litigation and consumer class actions. She has won several jury verdicts for hospitals against healthcare payers in out-of-network reimbursement disputes, helping hospitals recover hundreds of millions of dollars wrongfully retained by payers.

She also counsels providers across the regulatory framework governing those relationships--payer contract disputes and negotiations, the No Surprises Act, the Affordable Care Act, California's Health & Safety Code, the Knox-Keene Act, ERISA, abnd HIPAA. Her broader litigation practice spans contract disputes, commercial torts, unfair business practices litigation, and complex quantum meruit disputes, in both state and federal court and in arbitration. Ariana also has experience conducting internal investigations and defending companies and individuals against accusations of fraud and abuse. 

Pro bono work is central to Ariana's practice. She is the Pro Bono Chair for the Los Angeles office and serves on the board of Public Counsel.  She has sued municipalities wrongfully discriminating against street vendors in violation of their Cosntitutional rights, as well as state Medicaid plans over their refusal to cover medically necessary gender-affirmaing care, and she defends Los Angeles tenants in facing unlawful evictions--first-chairing and a trial that ended in a unanimous jury verdict for a tenant whose landlord sought to wrongfully evict him.

Before entering private practice Ariana clerked for the Hon. Jesus G. Bernal of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and externed for the Hon. Stephen R. Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.   

Ariana received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was Articles Editor for the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs and Events Chair for the American Constitution Society.  She received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Southern California.
