Amina Dammann focuses her practice on environmental law and litigation.  She has extensive experience representing multinational corporations in the automotive and energy sectors.  Her practice includes defending companies in high-stakes governmental investigations, enforcement actions, and in litigation brought by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Justice, and the California Air Resources Board (CARB).  Amina currently advises clients on some of the largest Clean Air Act enforcement matters in the U.S.  

Amina represents major engine and automotive manufacturers in investigations, enforcement, and litigation under the Clean Air Act.  She also advises on EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program, representing clients in RFS enforcement actions and litigation.  This includes advising on Sustainable Aviation Fuel regulations.  She also counsels clients on complex regulatory compliance matters.

Amina advises clients on mobile source emissions matters regarding on-road vehicles, non-road engines, and marine engines. Her experience includes pre-certification Clean Air Act counseling, post-certification defect reporting, field-fix and recall compliance, responses to information requests and defending in enforcement actions, including matters involving alleged defeat devices and undisclosed emissions control strategies.

Amina has many years of experience representing German and U.S. blue chip companies in both U.S. and German proceedings, as well as in transnational matters. A particular focus of her practice is on advising German companies facing governmental investigations in the United States. This includes representing German clients before EPA and CARB; it also involves coordinating parallel proceedings in the United States and Germany.  Amina holds U.S. degrees from Harvard and Texas and has also obtained the two German state exams in law as well as a doctorate in law from Frankfurt University.
