  • Acted for Italian pharmaceutical company in ICC arbitration against Belgian pharmaceutical company concerning a post-M&A dispute.
  • Acted for former chairman of Glencore, defending shareholder claims brought under s.90 and s.90A FSMA against Glencore and several current and former directors before the English courts.
  • Acted for Craig Wright in various proceedings before the English courts arising out of Mr Wright’s claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the author of the Bitcoin White Paper.
  • Acted for DAF Trucks, a Dutch truck manufacturer, defending multiple follow-on damages claims brought before the English Courts following the European Commission’s decision in relation to Trucks of 19 July 2016.
  • Acted for UK-based infrastructure group in relation to various contractual and regulatory disputes in the water, gas and fibre industries.
  • Acted for and advised LGBTQ+ organisations and individuals pro bono in relation to various human rights issues in the Caribbean (Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos, and Trinidad and Tobago), including two appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Bio

Alfred Fabian represents international companies and senior executives in complex, high-value disputes before the English courts and in international arbitration.

Alfred Fabian has a broad range of experience in commercial litigation and international arbitration, including acting on contractual and regulatory disputes, shareholder claims under sections 90 and 90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and follow-on damages claims. Alfred Fabian has experience in the shipbuilding, financial services, life sciences and infrastructure sectors.

Alfred Fabian has also acted, on a pro bono basis, for LGBTQ+ organisations and individuals in connection with human rights issues across the Caribbean, including appeals before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (the final appellate court of a number of Caribbean jurisdictions).
