• Representing a licencee of a major fashion brand in a multi-contractual dispute regarding the licencing of a fashion brand in two LCIA Arbitrations, as well as parallel injunctive and enforcement proceedings before the English High Court.
• Representing an international shipping company in proceedings relating to the enforcement of awards and allegations of fraudulent transactions in the High Court.
• Representing a North American contractor in LCIA arbitration proceedings concerning the construction of a gas plant in the Middle East.
• Representing a multinational retail business company in an expert determination concerning valuation and contractual interpretation issues under a put option, as well as related arbitration proceedings under the UNCITRAL Rules.
• Advising creditors of an investment award on ongoing enforcement proceedings in the English courts, including questions of state immunity.
• Acting for a trustee in a claim before the High Court arising from the disputed distribution of trust assets.
• Acting for a Hong Kong-listed biopharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration concerning the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Alex’s practice covers both commercial and investment arbitration, as well as High Court litigation.

Alex represents clients in arbitrations across a wide range of industries and sectors, ranging from fashion to pharmaceuticals, as well as in disputes involving sovereign states and construction projects. Alex has represented clients in arbitrations under most major rulesets, including under the LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, SIAC, and PCA Rules.

In the English Courts, Alex has represented clients in a variety of cases in both the High Court and Court of Appeal involving complex allegations of cross-border fraud and multi-jurisdictional litigation, as well as in arbitration related litigation in connection with ongoing arbitration and awards, including both in set aside challenges and in enforcement and collection on awards.
