Our Ad Hoc Sunshine and State Law Compliance Group is a member-company coalition that helps life sciences companies navigate U.S. federal and state transparency and related compliance requirements, tracks developments and provides industry alignment on practical approaches. The group advises on the federal Physician Sunshine Act / Open Payments enforced by CMS and similar state transparency laws, as well as laws related to drug price transparency, compliance programs, sales representative licensing and disclosure, and prescription drug affordability.  

Coalition work includes:

• Monitoring and analyzing federal developments and state laws 
• Developing compliance toolkit materials
• Presenting on new issues and their practical operational implications
• Drafting and submitting comments to federal and state regulators on proposed rules and related implementation efforts

Established in November 2004, the Group today includes more than 1,000 active participants and over 100 member companies, ranging from pre-commercial organizations to multinational pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.

The Group operates on a subscription fee model so members can participate as desired and enjoy access to guidance and resources with more predictable budgeting.
