Sarah Zagata Vasani is an associate in King & Spalding’s Litigation Practice Group and specializes in international arbitration. Ms. Vasani has worked on international arbitration cases under the arbitration rules of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”), ICSID Additional Facility Rules, International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”), American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), and International Centre for Dispute Resolution (“ICDR”).
Ms. Vasani earned a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communications, both with highest honors, from Michigan State University, where she also received certified specializations in Environmental Economics and Latin and Caribbean Studies. While at Michigan State, she was awarded the Board of Trustees Award (for highest GPA in her graduating class) and the Senior Class Council Outstanding Senior Award. Ms. Vasani was also named a Michigan State Rhodes Scholar nominee.
Ms. Vasani graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2006. While at Vanderbilt, she served as President of the Latin American Law Society, Executive Officer of the Foreign Service Legal Society and was also a member of the Moot Court Board.
After law school, Ms. Vasani completed a clerkship with the ICC Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris.
Ms. Vasani is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a basic understanding of French.
