Sam Griffin is a counsel on the Litigation-Tort & Environmental Practice Group at King & Spalding.  Mr. Griffin represents a wide variety of product liability and toxic tort defendants, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of asbestos-containing products.  He also defends Premises Liability claims.  He is also involved in pro bono cases, focusing on LGBT issues.

Mr. Griffin’s current practice includes the following:

  • Represents a pharmaceutical manufacturer in personal injury cases pending nationwide, in both federal and state courts, in all phases of fact and expert discovery, other pretrial proceedings, mediations and settlement negotiations.

  • Serves as National Coordinating Counsel for a defendant in asbestos cases nationwide.  He assists in developing trial strategy (company witnesses, trial exhibits and expert witnesses); briefing issues, such as statutes of limitations and statutes of repose; discovery responses and settlement evaluations.

  • Defends a manufacturer in cases pending in Pennsylvania in which the plaintiffs allege exposure to asbestos-containing materials.

  • Advises companies about the potential impact of corporate reorganization, as they might relate to asbestos litigation.

  • Represents a client involved in a custody battle with her former partner.
