Garry Pegg is the Co-Managing Partner of the firm's London office. His practice, which extends over 25 years, focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, joint ventures, project finance, mergers, share, and asset acquisitions and disposals. He is recognized for the depth of his experience in a number of market sectors, most notably energy; oil, gas, and electricity. In the energy sector, Garry advises governments and public and private companies on the full range of international corporate and commercial matters.
In addition to his sectoral experience, Mr. Pegg has significant regional experience. He is an English law practitioner though advises on major transactions in virtually every continent. Part of his career was spent in-house, providing counsel to major corporations such as Chevron and BHP Pty Limited, whose Dubai office he ran for two years. He also spent time in private practice in London at two leading firms, most recently serving as a founding partner and joint head of energy and projects. In addition to his home jurisdiction and western Europe, he has acted for sponsors and a wide variety of other clients in major project finance, general corporate, and commercial transactions, joint ventures and regulatory matters in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
