Elizabeth Moore Fox is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding, focusing her practice on both domestic and international trademark prosecution matters, trademark and copyright licensing, trademark and trade dress infringement litigation, and false advertising and unfair competition litigation.
Mrs. Fox’s practice involves counseling clients with regard to trademark matters, including the search and clearance of new marks, prosecuting applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and managing international trademark campaigns. She also routinely handles enforcement of rights in existing trademarks, domain name disputes, and maintenance of trademark registrations. She has also represented clients in numerous trademark oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and managed international opposition proceedings. Mrs. Fox works on many trademark projects for a major soft-drink manufacturer, focusing on the availability of the company's trademarks on a global basis, and she manages the domestic trademark portfolio of a Fortune 50 company. She has been involved in intellectual property litigation before federal courts involving claims of trademark and trade dress infringement, trademark dilution, unfair competition, and false advertising.
In 2005, Mrs. Fox earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, which she attended as a Dean's Scholar. While at Vanderbilt, she served as Executive Justice of the Moot Court Board, member of the National Moot Court Team, President of the Trial Advocacy Society, Secretary of the Vanderbilt Bar Association, President of the Animal Law Society, and founder of the Vanderbilt Innocence Project. Mrs. Fox was honored with the K. Harlan Dodson Moot Court Award and the Phillip G. Davidson III Memorial Award at graduation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in the College Scholars Program with emphasis in legal studies, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2002, where she was recognized as a top graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences during the graduation ceremony.
Mrs. Fox is admitted to practice in Georgia, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia (intellectual property section).
In addition, Mrs. Fox is active in public interest matters. She represents clients in pro bono litigation involving landlord-tenant matters and volunteers with the Truancy Intervention Project, in addition to trademark prosecution and counseling for several non-profit corporations.
