King & Spalding a Founding Firm of New York City Legal Fellows Program

NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2022--King & Spalding is proud to support the launch of the New York City Legal Fellows Program. The new initiative will welcome a cohort of junior lawyers at law firms across New York City to various City agencies for one-year terms as Legal Fellows beginning in January 2023.

The New York City Legal Fellows will continue to be employed by and paid by their current firms while also serving as full-time employees of New York City. Legal Fellows will be integrated into existing agency counsel teams. The fellowship will be an opportunity both for public service, and through mentorships and trainings, learning more about the inner workings of city government. The firm has long supported King & Spalding’s lawyers’ interest in public service and welcomed lawyers who have served in government to the firm.

“King & Spalding is proud to partner with the City administration on this rewarding program, which reflects the very best of the New York legal community,” said King & Spalding partner and former deputy mayor of New York City Randy Mastro. “We love our great City, so when Mayor Adams put out the call for law firms’ help, we, of course, answered the call.”
