Alex Calfo and Lazar Raynal Inducted into American College of Trial Lawyers


King & Spalding partners Alex Calfo and Lazar Raynal have been elected as Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers. According to the organization, members are elected for demonstrating the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality. Calfo and Raynal join 10 other current King & Spalding trial lawyers who have received this designation.

Calfo represents clients in challenging trials involving medical devices and pharmaceuticals, airplane crashes, class actions, toxic torts, automotive products liability, insurance coverage and commercial business disputes.

Raynal provides legal counsel to clients on a wide array of fiduciary and complex commercial litigation, including patent cases, fiduciary disputes, breach of contract, fraud, long-term supply agreements, challenged business practices and management of litigation across U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions.

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) is an honorary professional association composed of experienced trial lawyers in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The organization strives to maintain and improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on independence of the judiciary, trial by jury, respect for the rule of law, access to justice, and fair and just representation of all parties to legal proceedings.
