People

Suzanne Nero is a skilled litigator who drives positive results through efficient and creative client-driven solutions.  Suzanne’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with a focus on antitrust and class actions.  Suzanne has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in an array of commercial disputes in both state and federal court.  A trial lawyer by nature, Suzanne has tried multiple cases to verdict where she has obtained favorable results for her clients.  But Suzanne excels in developing case strategies that dispose of litigation before trial whether through motion practice or other means.  Suzanne develops personal relationships with her clients to identify their goals with each litigation and then crafts and executes strategies designed to meet those goals in the most cost-effective manner.  Based on her track record of success, Suzanne was recognized as a Northern California Rising Star in 2021 and 2022.

Much of Suzanne’s career has specialized in antitrust work where she has represented multiple publicly traded companies in high-profile litigations brought by both private litigants and government enforcement actions.  She has also counseled clients regarding antitrust enforcement investigations conducted by DOJ, FTC, and multiple state attorneys general.  In addition, to her litigation work, Suzanne frequently advises clients on antitrust issues and is retained as outside counsel to a Fortune 500 Company on such matters.  In addition to her antirust work, Suzanne maintains a robust class action defense practice where she regularly defends clients facing putative class actions across the country, with a particular focus on cases brought under California’s consumer protection laws.

Suzanne has a passion for trial work, serving as a coach of the UC Berkeley School of Law Trial Advocacy team and regularly speaking at CLE events on trial advocacy skills.  Suzanne is passionate about giving back to the community through a pro bono practice, and fills her extracurricular time with involvement in affinity organizations like the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD) and the Women Lawyers of Alameda County.
