Shahla Hazratjee is an associate in the Houston office of King & Spalding and a member of the firm's Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group. Shahla’s practice includes advising public and private companies in a wide variety of corporate matters, including SPAC transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities, and general corporate and securities matters.

Shahla has experience advising both domestic and foreign private issuers regarding SEC disclosure and compliance matters, including offerings of equity and debt securities as well as tender and exchange transactions. In addition, Shahla also has experience in complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, including in global restructuring projects, M&A, securities related transactions and redomestication transactions. Shahla earned her LL.B honors, from the University of Hull, and completed her Legal Practice Course from the BPP Law School in the United Kingdom. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston. Prior to joining the firm, Shahla also worked with an international law firm in Karachi, Pakistan, where she represented clients in connection with inbound and outbound investments, joint ventures, M&A and project financing (including Islamic financing).
