Randall Walker specialises in disputes arising in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Ranked as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ for Energy and Infrastructure Projects by Legal 500 (UAE), he is described a “disputes expert” and “name to note for energy arbitrations”. As a partner in our international arbitration practice, Randall represents clients in a range of contentious matters throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Randall advises oil & gas, power and mining companies, as well as contractors/sub-contractors, on a broad range of issues throughout the lifecycle of a project, from construction and engineering matters through to commercial contracts typical in the energy sector. His energy experience includes up, mid and downstream oil & gas projects, LNG and FPSO facilities, petrochemicals plants, and power and water projects. He also acts on large-scale infrastructure projects, such as railways, roads and other construction matters.
Randall acts in international arbitration under the major rules, international commercial litigation and other forms of ADR, and conducts his own advocacy. He also advises on public international law issues (such as investment treaty protections, human rights, sanctions and UNCLOS).
The legal directories describe Randall as having an “in-depth knowledge of dealing with complex high value disputes in the energy sector”. He is also complimented for being “very business oriented, and very close the client’s needs”, as well as an “excellent commercial lawyer” known for “providing recommendations not just advice”.
