Peter Brabant is a leading investigations and disputes/international arbitration lawyer with expertise acting for multinational clients across Asia. He advises clients on a broad range of contentious matters, including across the energy, construction, projects and infrastructure, and financial services sectors. He has particular experience in acting for Fortune 500 companies on investigations relating to matters as diverse as anti-bribery/corruption, incident response, cybersecurity, anti-trust, tax, environmental and fraud.
Peter advises clients on international arbitrations, including ICC, UNCITRAL and SIAC, with expertise in construction and energy disputes, including decommissioning and energy transition. He has acted on some of the most contentious and complex investigations and disputes in Asia and Australia, and has a detailed knowledge of the region’s regulatory environment and clients’ commercial operations and business drivers.
Peter also has particular expertise with respect to investigations and disputes relating to cybersecurity. As a member of the firm's Data, Privacy and Security (DPS) team, he advises clients on matters including data breaches, incident response and compliance.
Peter has over 15 years’ experience practising in Australia and Singapore, including a recent secondment at an oil and gas major in Singapore where he managed disputes and investigations across Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
