Matt Dixon is a senior associate in King & Spalding's Corporate, Finance and Investments group in Chicago. Matt has extensive experience representing clients in significant corporate transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, de-SPAC transactions, shareholder activism and takeover defense matters, corporate governance, carve-outs, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, corporate reorganizations and general corporate and securities matters. Matt's clients include a broad range of public and privately-held companies, private equity firms and boards of directors in a variety of industries.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Matt worked as a corporate associate at Latham & Watkins in Chicago, where he advised pubic and privately-held companies and private equity firms, including AMD, Aon, Ares, Audacy, Baxter, Cain International, Endeavor, GTCR, Hyatt, insitro, Shift4, Saputo and The Pritzker Organization, on a variety of M&A transactions, shareholder activism matters, corporate reorganizations and governance matters, including in connection with IPOs. 

In addition to his work as a corporate associate, Matt maintains an active pro bono practice and previously served as a corps member with Teach For America in Milwaukee and as a fellow at the Public Interest Legal Initiative in Chicago.
