Mark Wesseldine is a partner in King & Spalding’s Global Alternative Capital and Credit Funds Group. He represents clients on a selection of cross-border leveraged buyout financings, special situation investments and restructuring transactions with a focus on representing international credit funds, financial institutions, specialist senior loan and subordinated credit investors and other private investors in senior and junior capital financings, such as first lien or unitranche loans, second lien or mezzanine loans and notes, and private high yield or PIK notes.

Mark’s recent significant representations include acting for: KKR Credit Advisors in connection with the €200 million private unitranche financing for Dentix Health Corporation; HPS Investment Partners in connection with the private unitranche financing for Apex Fund Services; and Park Square Capital in connection with its debut credit investments under its senior loan programme joint venture with SMBC.

Mr. Wesseldine is consistently recognized by Legal 500 in “Acquisition Finance” and has received rankings in Chambers Global and Chambers UK for “Banking & Finance” where he was recognised as being “very commercially aware” and praised by clients as being “a rock star both in terms of his understanding of the deal documents and how strongly and commercially he negotiates with counterparties” (2018) and "one of the sharpest lawyers out there" (2020).  Mr. Wesseldine was also recognised as a leading individual in Finance in the Who’s Who Legal: Banking 2019.

Mr. Wesseldine holds LL.B. and B.A. degrees from the University of Auckland.
