People

Heather L. Vanderpool is a senior associate in King & Spalding’s Trial and Global Disputes group.  Her primary focus is defending agricultural product manufacturers against product liability and common law claims brought by cities and water providers throughout California. She also currently defends a major pharmaceutical company in a nationwide mass tort action. Heather additionally has experience in intellectual property, commercial, and entertainment litigation.  She has represented companies in a wide range of industries, including medical device, oil, cosmetic, and gaming companies.

Heather is consistently recognized by her clients and colleagues as diligent, proactive, and creative in her approach to defending her clients. She is experienced in drafting and responding to complex and voluminous discovery, writing motions, and preparing for depositions.

Heather earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she served as an editor on the Entertainment Law Review.

Prior to law school, Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a staff writer on The Daily Bruin.
