Geoff Leonard focuses his practice on the representation of technology companies, including life science companies. Geoff is a partner in our Corporate Governance and Mergers & Acquisitions practices, with considerable experience in the areas of securities and corporate finance, including equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity and strategic alliances.
Geoff counsels technology companies, particularly in life sciences, concerning securities and corporate finance matters, and handles equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity and strategic alliances. He also advises public companies on securities matters, as well as in ongoing Securities and Exchange Commission reporting matters.
In addition, Geoff regularly serves venture-backed companies as principal outside counsel. He has been counsel to numerous companies at every life-cycle stage, from incorporation through venture funding and final exit, as well as to the investors that finance these companies.
Geoff was recognized by Legal 500 in 2016 and 2020 in Healthcare: Life Sciences and in two M&A categories—Middle Market and Venture Capital and Emerging Companies. He also was cited by Corporate INTL as Technology Sector M&A Attorney of the Year in California for 2014, and by Finance Monthly as a 2012 Deal Maker of the Year.
