David Wellen is an associate in King & Spalding's Atlanta office and the firm's Corporate, Finance and Investments Practice Group. He represents public and private companies, as well as private equity funds, in a wide range of M&A and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rhesa H. Barksdale on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law, magna cum laude, where he served as the editor-in-chief for the Mississippi Law Journal, and competed on the school's moot court and negotiation board teams. Before law school, David was a legislative aide to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
