Daniel Barron is an associate in the Corporate, Finance and Investments practice, based in New York. His practice focuses on representing private and public corporate clients, private equity funds, and hedge funds in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions in the renewable energy and cleantech sectors.

Daniel regularly provides advice on all stages of renewables and cleantech transactions, including non-disclosure agreements, term sheets, joint venture agreements, tax equity financing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, supply agreements, power purchase and interconnection agreements, and filings with federal and state regulatory agencies.

He also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration matters and is a member of the Energy Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

Daniel has spent his entire career advising businesses and governments on risks and opportunities related to climate change and the sustainable energy transition. His prior professional experience includes roles at the United Nations Environment Programme, a leading global sustainability consulting practice, and a leading North American power and infrastructure investment banking practice.

Daniel earned a BA with Distinction from Yale University, an MPhil in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford, an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the New York University Stern School of Business, and a JD from the New York University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics.
