Director of Administration

Christine Sheaffer joined the Charlotte office of King & Spalding in October 2007 as Director of Administration. She is responsible for the management of all administrative operations in the Charlotte office and supervises a staff of approximately eight persons. She has oversight for human resources, office services, facilities management, financial functions and budgets, paralegal support, secretarial services, marketing, recruiting, records management, and technology/information services.

In 1979 Ms. Sheaffer began her legal management career as Office Administrator for the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office of Philadelphia-based Dilworth, Paxson, Kalish & Kauffman. Following relocation to Florida in the late 1980s, she served as Office Administrator for the Tampa office of Michigan-based Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn. Ms. Sheaffer then relocated to Orlando where she assisted Honigman Miller in opening its Orlando office. From 1994 to 1999 Ms. Sheaffer served successively as Charlotte Office Administrator and Assistant Director of Administration for Poyner & Spruill, a North Carolina law firm. Prior to joining King & Spalding she served eight years as Director of Administration for the Charlotte office of Mayer Brown.

Ms. Sheaffer is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and has served as regional representative on the ALA International Nominating Committee. In addition she completed terms as Vice President and President of the North Carolina State Chapter of ALA, and has held several committee appointments and Board positions with the Charlotte Chapter of ALA including two terms as President.

Ms. Sheaffer holds a B.A. in Applied Organizational Management.
