Director of Diversity and Inclusion


Caroline Abney joined King & Spalding in December 2002 and is the Director of Human Resources & Diversity and Inclusion. In this dual role, she drives the development and implementation of both firm-wide Human Resources and Diversity and Inclusion programs. She works closely with the firm’s Diversity Committee and stakeholders to develop and implement the Firm’s diversity initiatives by partnering with key stakeholders, including the Diversity Committee, Recruiting, Professional Development, Firm leadership, external organizations and clients. Currently, she serves as immediate past president of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP). ALFDP’s mission is to act as a catalyst for the advancement of diversity in the legal profession through collective knowledge, vision, expertise and advocacy in the area of law firm diversity.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Caroline had over 10 years of increasing management and Human Resources experience. She has an extensive background in internal consulting, employee relations, recruiting and retention, management training, compensation and benefit administration and Human Resource Management Information Systems.
