Brett Schroeder is a senior associate in King & Spalding's Corporate, Finance and Investments group in Chicago. Brett has extensive experience representing clients in significant corporate transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, spin-offs, carve-outs, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments. As a senior associate in King & Spalding’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practices, Brett advises public and privately-held companies, private equity funds, boards of directors and special committees in a variety of M&A, corporate governance and general corporate and securities matters.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Brett worked as a corporate associate at Latham & Watkins in Chicago, where he advised public and privately-held companies and private equity funds - including Bass Pro Shops, Emerson Electric Co., Saputo, The Carlyle Group, One Equity Partners, The Catalyst Capital Group, Triton Partners, DNS Capital and The Pritzker Organization - on a variety of acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalization transactions. Brett has also worked at The Kraft Heinz Company, where he reported directly to the general counsel and deputy general counsel and assisted Kraft Heinz in a number of domestic and international transactions, including global cave-outs, acquisitions and other strategic partnerships and investments. Additionally, during his time at Kraft Heinz, Brett assisted in the closing of multiple venture capital transactions for Kraft Heinz's corporate investment fund, Evolv Ventures.
