Mark Davies is a Partner in our Tokyo office and specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions, cross-border acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, project development, project financing transactions and investment funds. Mark represents trading companies, corporations, banks and other entities in a wide range of power (including wind power and solar power), energy, infrastructure-related projects and other business transactions.

Mark advises clients in project finance, asset finance and acquisition finance, as well as M&A, cross-border acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, and the structuring and formation of private investment funds. Mark frequently advises trading companies and other project sponsors, ECAs, commercial banks and project sponsors on development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects ranging from conventional power projects, wind power projects, gas-to-power projects, oil and gas, and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vessels.

In addition, Mark advises trading companies, banks, corporations, investment funds and private equity investors, as well as fund sponsors and fund managers, governmental institutions and multilateral agencies on a variety of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, fund formation, fund investment and private equity transactions.

Mark has lived in Japan for more than 21 years and is fluent in Japanese.
