ATLANTA, Jan. 3, 2019 — Women Inc. magazine has named Atlanta-based King & Spalding senior counsel Chilton Varner to its 2019 Most Influential Corporate Directors list. Varner has been serving on the board of Brown & Brown, Inc., a leading insurance brokerage firm, since 2004. She is also the current president of the Supreme Court Historical Society.
With 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer, Varner represents clients in mass tort litigation, class actions, and multi-district litigation. She has counseled a number of the country’s largest pharmaceutical, medical device, and automotive manufacturers. Varner speaks regularly on women’s issues and has taught a session titled “Women as Trial Lawyers” at Temple University’s graduate program in litigation.
