PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 30, 2020 — Turnarounds & Workouts has named King & Spalding financial restructuring partner Roger Schwartz to its 2020 Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer list for his role in a number of high-profile bankruptcy and restructuring matters. He is one of only 15 lawyers nationwide to be honored for working on some of the year’s most significant restructurings.
Schwartz represents public and private companies, agents, lenders, strategic and financial buyers, and investors in a broad range of restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, and bankruptcy-related acquisitions, sales and financings.
Roger’s recent work has included representing:
- KKR in its capacity as Borden’s largest secured lender, holding $175 million of Borden prepetition term for its Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
- Monitronics International, Inc. in connection with multiple liability management and restructuring transactions involving approximately $1.8 billion of indebtedness.
- An ad hoc group of first-lien term loan lenders in connection with a comprehensive and consensual recapitalization of the Totes Isotoner balance sheet.
