Transition Economist Names Marcella Burke to its TE100: Professional Services List


HOUSTON, Nov. 11, 2021 — The Transition Economist has named King & Spalding partner Marcella Burke to its 2021 TE100: Professional Services list, as part of their “TE100: Women of the Energy Transition” series. The professional services category recognizes just 10 women globally “who are at the forefront of these fundamental aspects of the energy transition and showcases their innovation, hard work and creativity,” according to the publication.

Burke leads the Houston office’s Environmental Health and Safety practice. She specializes in energy and environmental issues and represents companies in a range of regulatory and enforcement matters. She also leads the firm’s Energy Transition initiative and is a board member of the Houston ESG Council.

The Transition Economist launched the inaugural “TE100: Women of the Energy Transition” program to honor 100 women across 10 individual categories who are “under-represented, under-promoted and under-recognized” in the energy transition sector.
