CHICAGO, Apr. 6, 2021 — The American Lawyer has named King & Spalding partner Javier Rubinstein to its 2021 Midwest Trailblazers list.
The publication recognized Rubinstein for his efforts to make Chicago a leading hub for international arbitration. Rubinstein has led the by formation of a Steering Committee of in-house counsel and international arbitration practitioners in the city of Chicago to launch the Chicago International Arbitration Center, which will offer world class hearing facilities and educational programming. The Center will open this summer. The Midwest Trailblazers list recognizes professionals in the Midwest who “have moved the needle in the legal industry,” according to the publication.
Rubinstein, a Trial and Global Disputes partner, regularly handles high-profile international commercial and investment arbitrations, representing clients from North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia in complex disputes before such institutions as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, as well as ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
