Stephen Abreu Named to Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 List

SAN FRANCISCO, July 20, 2016 — The Silicon Valley Business Journal has named San Francisco corporate associate Stephen Abreu to its annual 40 Under 40 list, which honors individuals under the age of 40 who have “achieved a high level of responsibility in their careers—whether in for-profit, nonprofit or government—and contributed to the betterment of our region through community involvement.”

Abreu’s practice focuses on intellectual property licensing and technology transactions, particularly in the life sciences. The publication noted that among his recent notable achievements with King & Spalding was leading the team representing Plexxikon, Inc., in a clinical trial collaboration agreement with Merck. Abreu is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of California at Davis King School of Law, where he teaches a course on intellectual property agreements. In addition, Abreu serves on the board of For People of Color, Inc., an organization that provides free law school admissions consulting to underrepresented law school applicants.

Winners of the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 were chosen by an editorial panel at the newspaper.
