Paris-based counsel Ruxandra Lazar and partner Mehdi Haroun have been awarded a “Plume de l’Économie et du Droit” prize for their article, “La Réduction de la Part du Nucléaire en France: Les Fragilités Juridiques d’une Promesse Electorale” (Reducing the Proportion of Nuclear Energy in France: The Legal Weaknesses of an Electoral Promise). The Paris-based Business & Legal Forum, an association of leaders in the fields of business, government, law and economics, awards the prizes to recognize excellence in writing on law and economics. Lazar and Haroun were the winners in the category for articles that combine economic and legal issues, and received their award at a ceremony Oct. 8. The Plumes de l’Économie et du Droit are the Business & Legal Forum’s highest honor. Amongst the laureates in other categories were professors of private international law and high-ranking government officials such as Thierry Dahan, the vice president of the French Competition Authority.
