LONDON, Jan. 17, 2020 — Project Finance International (PFI) has awarded the Dumat Al Jandal (DAJ) wind project financing—for which King & Spalding attorneys advised—as its 2019 Middle East & Africa Renewable Deal of the Year.
The DAJ wind project financing was the first international wind deal transacted in Saudi Arabia. The project will be “the largest wind farm in the Gulf,” according to the publication. The King & Spalding team advising on this project was led by Abu Dhabi-based partner Tim Burbury with the assistance of Zaid H. Al-Farisi (Dubai), Aaron C. Lee (Singapore), Timm R.
