Patricia Barmeyer Receives Georgia State Bar Award for Lifetime Achievement


ATLANTA, Sept. 23, 2021 — King & Spalding Government Matters senior counsel Patricia Barmeyer has been named the recipient of the 2021 James Bratton Award for lifetime achievement by the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

The James Bratton Award, named after the founder of the Environmental Law Section of the Georgia Bar, honors individuals for high achievement, professionalism, and dedication in the area of environmental law.

Barmeyer specializes in the environmental permitting of controversial projects and the litigation that is often part of the process of bringing those projects to completion. She has handled matters in all environmental media, but her recent work has focused on cases involving water and air permits and coastal development projects.
