New York Law Journal Honors Ed Kehoe, Isabel Fernández de la Cuesta With Professional Excellence Awards

NEW YORK, June 20, 2019 — The New York Law Journal has honored partner Ed Kehoe and counsel Isabel Fernández de la Cuesta with Professional Excellence awards. Kehoe has been named a Distinguished Leader for “demonstrating clear leadership skills leading to positive outcomes,” and de la Cuesta has been named a Rising Star, which recognizes the region’s most promising lawyers aged 40 and younger.

Kehoe is managing partner of King & Spalding’s New York office, co-head of its International Arbitration practice and a member of the firm’s 10-person management committee. He has more than 25 years of experience in business arbitration and litigation. Kehoe has overseen the New York office though a period of significant growth in both headcount and capabilities, and has helped grow the International Arbitration team from fewer than 10 members in the early 2000s to more than 100 presently. In the past year, the firm’s International Arbitration team earned Global Arbitration Review’s Most Impressive Firm award, was named a Law360 Practice Group of the Year, and was ranked among the top three practices in the U.S. and globally by prestigious legal rankings organizations.

Fernández de la Cuesta has more than 14 years of experience advising clients in complex international commercial arbitrations and in investment treaty disputes with host governments.  A multilingual, Spain-qualified lawyer who has spent her career in the United States, Fernández de la Cuesta joined King & Spalding in 2005 as an associate and was promoted to counsel in 2015. She is one of the longest-standing members of the firm’s leading International Arbitration group.

The New York Law Journal will publish profiles of each winner in October and honor them on Oct. 23 at the New York Legal Awards in New York City.
