ATLANTA, March 22, 2019 — The National Law Journal has named King & Spalding partner Michael Johnston to its 2019 list of Employment Trailblazers.
In a profile, the publication highlighted Johnston’s litigation successes obtaining summary judgments against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Johnston told the publication he foresees increasing wide-ranging litigation matters related to harassment in the employment sector. He added: “The current focus is on sexual harassment, but it should and will carry over into race, age and other protected categories.”
The NLJ’s Trailblazers list recognizes lawyers, chosen from hundreds of nominations, who “have shown a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission, having achieved remarkable successes along the way,” according to the publication.
Johnston, who is based in Atlanta, Ga., focuses on employment litigation and employment-related internal investigations. With over 37 years of litigation experience, he has been lead counsel in more than 130 trials and has represented clients in trial and appellate courts nationwide and in the U.S. Supreme Court.
