NEW YORK, May 31, 2018 — Legal 500 has named King & Spalding Houston partners Ken Culotta and Vera De Brito de Gyarfas to its 2018 Private Practice Powerlist: US-Mexico, which highlights the leading U.S.-based counsel active in the Mexican market today. The list focuses on “key individual practitioners with outstanding expertise in, and knowledge of” the Mexican jurisdiction, according to the publication.
Culotta’s practice focuses on domestic and cross-border investment, commercial and financial transactions in the energy sector, with an emphasis on oil, gas, LNG and other hydrocarbons and petrochemicals. He is fluent in Spanish and devotes a substantial part of his practice to Latin American matters.
De Gyarfas specializes in transactions involving energy projects in Africa and Latin America, handling negotiations of host government agreements as well as commercial agreements among companies in English, Spanish and Portuguese. De Gyarfas represents clients in upstream oil and gas transactions, LNG projects, and the development of energy infrastructure.
