NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2020 — Law360 has recognized King & Spalding’s specialty finance and securitization team as a 2020 Structured Finance Practice Group of the Year for handling one of the first capital markets issuances in the restaurant industry during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as multiple related whole business securitizations, among other significant structured finance transactions over the course of the year.
In its profile of the practice, Law360 highlights the group’s role in guiding a major international investment bank through $750 million senior secured high-yield note issuance by the restaurant company Inspire Brands; its representation of the same bank in the whole-business securitizations of several of Inspire Brands’ recently acquired restaurant brands; and advising purchasers in an upsize deal for an additional $50 million in Series 2019-1 variable funding notes by a subsidiary of Servpro Industries LLC.
Law360’s annual Practice Group of the Year honors are given to the law firms behind the “litigation wins and major deals that resonated throughout the legal industry” in the past year. The Practice Groups of the Year were selected from among 775 submissions from 81 law firms.
In addition to being named a Structured Finance Practice Group of the Year, the firm is also recognized as a 2020 Practice Group of the Year for Construction, International Arbitration, and Product Liability.
