DUBAI, Oct. 22, 2018 — King & Spalding was awarded both M&A Team of the Year and M&A Deal of the Year honors at the 2018 International Financial Law Review Middle East Awards dinner held in Dubai on Oct. 16.
The firm received the M&A Deal of the Year accolade for advising Dalma Energy on the combination of the business operations of Dalma Energy in Oman, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands with the business operations of KCA Deutag. With a combined enterprise value of the enlarged group of $2.66 billion, the transaction represents one of the biggest deals of its type in the Middle East in recent years within the oil and gas sector.
