NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2019 — The American Lawyer recognized King & Spalding with two dispute resolution awards at its second annual American Lawyer Industry Awards gala in New York City on Dec. 4.
The firm earned the Global Litigation/Dispute Resolution of the Year award for its successful representation of Chevron in the company’s arbitration with the Republic of Ecuador. The matter was one of the largest international arbitrations ever and helped “avoid global disruption and preserve the defendant’s reputation,” according to The American Lawyer.
The firm earned Georgia Regional Litigation Department of the Year honors for its work for Equifax in one of the largest consumer data breaches in history; R.J. Reynolds in ongoing litigation in Florida; and Highstar Capital Fund in a $200-million fraud case.
