King & Spalding Transaction Named Project Finance International’s Middle East & Africa Deal of the Year


LONDON, Dec. 28, 2020 — Project Finance International has named a transaction on which King & Spalding attorneys worked as its 2020 Middle East & Africa Solar Deal of the Year.

The Al-Dhafra Solar Photovoltaic Independent Power Producer project in Abu Dhabi will be the world’s largest single-site solar power plant, using approximately 4 million solar panels to generate enough electricity for approximately 160,000 homes across the United Arab Emirates upon completion.
