King & Spalding Selects TaCara Harris, Rebeca Ojeda as 2018 Pathfinders for the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity

ATLANTA, May 9, 2018 — King & Spalding has selected associates TaCara Harris and Rebeca Ojeda to be members of the 2018 class of Pathfinders to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is designed to train high-potential, early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies including leadership and building professional networks. Pathfinders learn these strategies through intensive in-person training, online experiential learning, and small networking events with more experienced LCLD Fellows.

For their initial Pathfinder meeting last month, Harris and Ojeda attended a series of intensive professional and business development workshops at the Abercrombie & Fitch headquarters in New Albany, Ohio and at Wal-Mart Inc. headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. In November, they will attend a second series of workshops at the MasterCard headquarters in Purchase, NY.

Harris, who is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law, and Ojeda, who is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, are mid-level associates in the Atlanta office and members of King & Spalding’s Trial and Global Disputes practice. Both focus their practices on representing clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer products, and tobacco industries in nationwide product liability and personal injury litigation. Harris and Ojeda are also actively involved in pro bono and community service work, bar association activities, and the firm’s diversity and recruitment efforts.
