King & Spalding Recognized for its “Potent Latin America Practice” by Chambers Latin America, Winning the 2016 International Arbitration Firm of the Year Award


NEW YORK, September 20, 2016 — Chambers and Partners Latin America has named King & Spalding its 2016 International Arbitration Firm of the Year for its “notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.”

“We are thrilled by the recognition of the scope and depth of the firm’s International Arbitration practice,” said Edward Kehoe, co-head of the firm’s International Arbitration practice.

During the award ceremony held in Miami on September 16, Chambers cited King & Spalding’s “considerable size and experience” in handling both investment treaty disputes and commercial arbitration throughout the region as one of the reasons for the firm winning this year’s recognition. Chambers also noted that King & Spalding’s international arbitration team “is regularly called upon to represent corporate clients in disputes under all major institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules, with notable expertise in matters related to the energy and natural resources sector, among others.”
