WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2017 — King & Spalding has secured a top score of 100 percent in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey on corporate practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality. It is the fifth consecutive year the firm has achieved a perfect score in the index.
The result means that King & Spalding is regarded by CEI amongst the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.” The CEI annually surveys the nation’s largest publicly traded businesses, privately owned companies and top revenue-grossing law firms, and has been conducted since 2002 by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The survey evaluates companies’ LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.
