King & Spalding Advises WestRock on Antitrust Aspects of $4.9 Billion Acquisition of KapStone


King & Spalding is advising WestRock Company on antitrust aspects of its $4.9 billion acquisition of KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation, which signed on January 29, 2018. Norcross, Georgia-based WestRock provides paper and packaging solutions across the globe, and Illinois-based KapStone is a North American producer of containerboard, unbleached kraft paper and corrugated products and a provider of packaging and logistics solutions.

The Washington, D.C.-based King & Spalding team on this deal is led by partners Jeff Spigel and John Carroll, and included senior associate Chris Yook and associate Meaghan Griffith.
