King & Spalding represented UK-based development finance company Maslow Capital in connection with the 4th year renewal of a real estate investment joint venture with TPG Sixth Street Partners (TSSP) which is the dedicated credit and credit-related investment platform of TPG.
The joint venture continues to leverage the collective expertise of both companies in the real estate lending sector. The exclusive relationship focuses on direct lending in the UK real estate sector to fill the funding shortfall left when mainstream banks exited the sector. Specific financial details of the joint venture were not disclosed.
Maslow, established in 2009, is a leader in the UK property development finance market, providing senior finance to experienced developers. TSSP has extensive experience with global public and private investments executed through primary originations, secondary market purchases and restructurings.
