King & Spalding advised KFH Capital in connection with its acquisition and financing (US$272,250,00) of Two Riverfront Plaza in Newark, New Jersey. KFH Capital purchased the 12-story office building, which is subject to a long-term lease to Panasonic Corp. of North America, from developers SJP Properties and Matrix Development Group. The building opened in 2013 as part of the larger effort to revitalize Newark. Newark is New Jersey’s largest city, located across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Acquisition financing was arranged on a Shari’ah-compliant basis from Ladder Capital Finance, LLC.
