King & Spalding advised the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on its US$11.5 million investment in the “Women’s World Banking Capital Partners II” fund.
The fund is directed by Women’s World Banking and seeks to raise US$100 million from development finance institutions and institutional investors for the purpose of improving the access of women to financial services in developing countries and accelerating sustainable development. JICA is the only Asian participant in this fund, which includes investors such as the European Investment Bank and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
