James Castello to Give 9th Annual Bergsten Lecture

Paris International Arbitration partner James Castello will give the 9th annual Bergsten lecture on March 28. The lecture, organized jointly by the Austrian Arbitration Association and the University of Vienna, honors Professor Eric Bergsten, former Secretary of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and founder of the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, which this year celebrates its 28th edition, drawing more than 2,500 international law students in 385 moot teams. James will speak on “The Proliferation of Arbitration Rules.” The Bergsten lecture, which is traditionally held in Vienna during the opening days of the Vis Moot, takes place this year in virtual format because of current travel restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
