ATLANTA, Jan. 7, 2019 — The Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network has named King & Spalding senior associate Kate Gilchrist its Volunteer of the Year. Gilchrist, a Washington, D.C.-based member of the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes practice group, will receive the honor at the organization’s annual GAIN Gala on March 22 in Atlanta.
Gilchrist earned the honor by working with GAIN to help asylum seekers and immigrant victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes to fight for liberty and justice.
Based in Atlanta, GAIN has been providing free immigration legal services to victims of crimes and persecution since 2005.
